Set Foot on an Unknown Planet in Alia Domus
Cat Crate Games has announced that Alia Domus, its upcoming pixel art survival RPG, is scheduled to launch on Steam in early 2027. Developed by a solo indie creator, the game will combine survival, exploration, crafting, and colony-building as players work to establish humanity’s future on an unfamiliar planet.

Alia Domus takes players to a future where war has exhausted Earth. Players step into the role of one of the first volunteer colonists sent to prepare a new home for humanity. However, after losing supply lines and communication with Earth, players face a dramatic turn in the mission that forces them to rebuild civilization from scratch.
The game’s progression system spans nine technological eras, beginning with the Paleolithic Age and advancing through to the Digital Era. As players gather resources and research new technologies, they’ll gradually unlock everything from primitive stone tools to advanced machinery and laser weaponry. Character progression also depends on experience players earn through exploration, combat, crafting, and other activities.
Cat Crate Games also promises a large world to explore, featuring more than 140 plant species, multiple biomes, mysterious caves, and 126 creatures that provide valuable crafting materials. Farming will play an important role as players cultivate crops to support their growing colony.
Players can freely explore 85 interconnected maps and complete optional NPC quests, allowing them to progress at their own pace. Paired with detailed isometric pixel art and an atmospheric soundtrack, Alia Domus aims to deliver a rewarding sci-fi survival experience when it arrives on Steam in early 2027.
While players will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on it, the game is already shaping up to be an indie survival RPG worth keeping an eye on.
