Shard Squad Is Expanding to All Major Platforms
Shard Squad is almost ready to make the jump to consoles, with its official launch arriving on July 30 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. After earning positive attention on PC, the action roguelite is now set to introduce console players to its strategy-driven gameplay and replayable adventures.

At the core of Shard Squad is a flexible squad-building system that encourages experimentation. Each playable Shard belongs to a different element and comes with unique abilities. Mixing specific characters unlocks powerful Synergies, allowing players to create different team combinations and playstyles in every run.
The progression system goes even further with over 20 Synergies and 99 Relics. These upgrades can improve stats, unlock new abilities, and even recruit companions, making every decision feel meaningful as players shape their squad throughout the adventure.
The game also packs a surprising amount of content. Players can explore 10 maps, recruit 28 playable Shards, evolve every character, collect 99 Relics, battle more than 200 enemy types, and take on 59 unique bosses. Additional features include a complete Bestiary, unlockable Tales, local and online co-op, NPCs with their own stories, and fully voiced cutscenes in Portuguese, English, Japanese, and Chinese.
Set in the vibrant world of Mellunia, the game also emphasizes character relationships, giving squad members unique interactions that add personality to the campaign.
With its mix of strategic team-building, action-packed combat, and plenty of replay value, Shard Squad looks like one to watch when it arrives on consoles next week.
