Join the Celebration With Kingdom Hearts
Disney has announced a special Kingdom Hearts “Deep Dive” event as part of this year’s D23 fan celebration, giving longtime fans another reason to look forward to August. Scheduled for August 15, 2026, the presentation will celebrate 25 years of the beloved action RPG series, which has brought together characters and worlds from Disney, Pixar, and Square Enix since its debut in 2002.
The announcement comes at an exciting time for the franchise. Square Enix will finally bring the Kingdom Hearts titles to Nintendo platforms this October, and the company has already confirmed Kingdom Hearts 4 for a future release on the Nintendo Switch 2. Although Disney has not confirmed whether the Deep Dive event will include new game announcements, fans will undoubtedly be hoping for fresh updates on the series’ future.

In addition to the celebration, Disney will also host its Disney Entertainment Showcase on August 14, 2026. The presentation is expected to highlight the company’s upcoming slate across multiple entertainment categories, including video games. Fans of Disney Dreamlight Valley can also expect a dedicated segment revealing what’s next for the life-simulation adventure.
While Disney hasn’t promised any major reveals just yet, the timing of the event has certainly fueled speculation. With several exciting projects already on the horizon, this year’s D23 could be one to watch for Kingdom Hearts fans.
