The Old Flesh of Nuraga Is Coming Out This Summer, Demo Now Live on Steam

Cosmic Horror Awaits in Old Flesh of Nuraga

Studio Ortica has officially revealed its next project, The Old Flesh of Nuraga, a cosmic horror experience deeply inspired by Sardinian mythology. The independent team, known for titles like Loan Shark and Birds Watching, is set to bring this eerie new adventure to PC via Steam in summer 2026. For those curious, a playable demo is already available.

The Old Flesh of Nuraga

Set on a desolate, dying island, the game follows Cinera, a young woman struggling to survive alongside her aging grandfather. Life in the desert is harsh, and survival depends on an unusual tool. Such as an ancient bell used to uncover food buried beneath the dunes. What begins as a simple routine soon takes a darker turn as something far older emerges from the sands. Hidden beneath the surface are fragments of a forgotten god, and their discovery sets the stage for an unsettling journey.

Drawing heavily from the mythology and material culture of Nuragic Sardinia, The Old Flesh of Nuraga aims to deliver a distinct kind of cosmic horror. It blends the familiar with the ancient, twisting heritage and tradition into something haunting and unrecognizable.

Players can already get a taste of its atmosphere through the free demo. It offers an early look at the game’s tone and mechanics ahead of its full release. If the demo is anything to go by, this is shaping up to be a quietly haunting experience worth keeping an eye on.
