DREADMOOR Drops a Behind-The-Scenes Video at Summer Game Fest 2026

Take a Closer Look at DREADMOOR

Developer Dream Dock and publisher Digital Vortex Entertainment have shared a behind-the-scenes look at their post-apocalyptic title, DREADMOOR. The footage came out during the Day of the Devs Summer Game Fest Edition Showcase livestream, and you can have a look at it yourself right below.

DREADMOOR takes place in a post-apocalyptic world and casts players as the captain of a fishing boat drifting through an infested bayou. The waters are consumed by a mysterious force known as the Sea Blight. It has warped wildlife into dangerous, unfamiliar forms. The only way to survive is to salvage the ruins of other boats and craft tools to fish and defend. The challenge is that the longer you stay in the water, the more of a target you become.

According to Dream Dock CEO Rostislav Fedorov, the boat serves as a crucial lifeline, but it is not the only way to explore. Players can step into the lands and interact with what remains of humanity. All while discovering parts of the ruined world among the survivors. He also shared that the team’s real-life passion for fishing has influenced the game’s design. Hence, shaping its unique blend of survival and exploration.

The goal of the game is to fish, and the people of the post-apocalyptic world are also a good source of income. Players can sell fish to the traders Gill and Bozur, whose bizarre shop is built on giant crab legs, or improve the bait and gear. This allows players to go progress further.

DREADMOOR will be available on PC via Steam in Q4 of this year. With its eerie setting and inventive mechanics, the game is shaping up to be a standout addition to the genre.
