Sonic the Hedgehog celebrates its 35th anniversary with a new major reveal, as Senbla and SEGA officially announce Sonic Live In Concert. This stage production brings the franchise’s iconic music and moments directly to audiences.
The concert will debut in the United States at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on September 26, 2026, before moving to Europe for its premiere at London’s Eventim Apollo on September 30. Organizers will take the show across more than 30 U.S. cities, followed by a UK tour in February 2027. They plan to announce additional European dates soon.
As part of the global anniversary celebration, the production showcases music from across Sonic’s history, starting with the original 1991 game and continuing through modern releases. A live ensemble performs alongside rock musicians, vocalists, and electronic artists to create a high-energy sound. The show pairs the music with synchronized HD visuals that highlight iconic levels, memorable moments, and intense boss battles, while weaving subtle musical references throughout the performance.
The concert also spotlights the work of composers Jun Senoue and Tomoya Ohtani, whose music has defined Sonic’s identity for decades. Senbla CEO Ollie Rosenblatt explains that the team designed the show to capture the energy, style, and emotion that fans associate with Sonic’s sound.
