Pioneers of Pagonia Is Getting Bigger

Envision Entertainment has confirmed that Pioneers of Pagonia – Meadowsong, the first of two planned DLCs for its city-building title, will launch on May 27, 2026, alongside a major free update for the base game. Both releases arrive together, offering players a mix of new story content and expanded gameplay tools.

The Meadowsong expansion introduces a brand-new island shaped by a dark threat known as “The Withering.” This mysterious force spreads decay across the land, turning fertile soil barren, killing crops, and weakening both animals and villagers. Players must respond by developing antidotes, rebuilding food systems, and confronting a powerful witches’ coven responsible for the spreading curse. The expansion adds fresh depth through new buildings, production chains, and resources, including fruit cultivation, animal care, and unique magical elements like the Cornucopia. Players will also encounter new plants, animals, and goods, all designed to strengthen settlements against the growing threats.

At the same time, the free “Free Beer” update significantly enhances the base game. A long-awaited brewery joins the settlement economy, allowing production of both beer and elderberry juice. Food systems are also improved, encouraging dietary variety that directly benefits population growth and worker efficiency. A redesigned food overview helps players manage these changes more effectively.

The update also expands creative freedom. The improved Map Editor now allows full custom scenario creation with dialogues, characters, and objectives. Players can experiment with larger or smaller maps and raise population limits up to 10,000.

Overall, this combined release adds both challenge and creativity, strengthening Pioneers of Pagonia as it continues to evolve.
