Travel Through Video Game Worlds in Five More Minutes
Indie developer PurpleTurtle and publisher Zugalu Entertainment have released a playable demo for their upcoming roguelike deckbuilder Five More Minutes on Steam. It gives players an early hands-on look at its nostalgic, genre-blending gameplay. The full version will launch in Q3 2026 across PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Switch, and Switch 2.
The demo release comes alongside an official trailer, offering a glimpse of what players will experience in this version. You can check it out for yourself right below.
In Five More Minutes, players build decks, plan strategies, and battle through worlds inspired by classic video game eras. The game lets players choose from three distinct starting genres, each offering unique cards, keepsakes, and playstyles. As players progress, they can mix these genres to create powerful combinations that push or even break traditional gameplay rules.
The game also emphasizes character growth. Players level up to gain extra actions, boost health, and collect rare mementos during their journey. Each run feels different, as player choices shape both the deck and the overall strategy.
Visually and thematically, it leans heavily into nostalgia, featuring worlds that feel like they’ve been pulled straight from childhood memory cards. This emotional layer adds depth, positioning the game as more than just a roguelike, but also a tribute to the comforting role video games have played for many players.
With the demo now available, Five More Minutes already shows strong potential. It blends strategy, creativity, and nostalgia into a focused experience that could stand out in the roguelike deckbuilder space upon release.
