Angry Birds Get Surfing
Mobile games have been around for awhile. During the timeline of mobile games existing, there have been some absolutely massive names. Of course, there have been few mobile games as big as Angry Birds and Subway Surfers. In fact, Subway Surfers is the most downloaded mobile game of all time. Now, these two games are joining forces. Today, SYBO the studio behind Subway Surfers and Rovio Entertainment Ltd., creator of the Angry Birds franchise announced an upcoming in-game collaboration. Importantly, Subway Surfers will celebrate its 14th anniversary with characters from Angry Birds making an appearance. At the same time Angry Birds 2 will be bringing their own Subway Surfers flavor to their own game.
The Subway Surfers crossover will be bringing some of the angriest of birds to their game. In fact, the 14th anniversary celebration is introducing new characters, outfits, hoverboards, and collectible items. Importantly, players can now run through the neon city as Angry Birds characters Red and Chuck. Additionally, the Angry Birds 2 universe is adding its own pieces of the Surfers game. For instance, Players who have reached level 13 can unlock a brand-new spell in Saga levels, that allows them to grind straight through pig fortresses. However, that’s not all. Angry Birds 2 is also introducing the “Swag Adventure”. This limited-time event allows players to conquer the Tower of Fortune to collect the exclusive Subway Surfers Hats. Equipping this exclusive gear will also provide further bonuses to smash the pig menace.
The Subway Surfers Spell event will be available to players within Subway Surfers starting May 11, 2026. The Swag Adventure event will be available to players within Angry Birds 2 at a later date.
