Gloria Victis Returns With Official Playtest, Bringing Its Medieval World Back to Life

Enter the Medieval Fantasy World of Gloria Victis

Gamigo has officially kicked off the first public playtest for its returning MMORPG Gloria Victis, giving players an early look at the game’s next phase. The playtest began on April 20 at 10:30 CEST and will run until April 27, allowing previously registered participants to jump back into the medieval world and share feedback on its development.

Gloria Victis

This limited-time test marks the first opportunity for players to experience the game again since it went offline in 2023. It signals a fresh chapter for the title while preserving the core elements that built its loyal community. Large-scale faction-based PvP battles, a player-driven economy, and grounded, skill-based combat all return, now supported by updated visuals that lean further into realism.

Participants will have a full week to explore the open world, test systems, and engage with its dynamic gameplay. Progress made during the playtest will not carry over, as all data will be reset ahead of the game’s eventual free-to-play launch. However, those who take part will receive rewards at launch, including premium currency and exclusive character titles.

Set in a low-fantasy medieval setting, Gloria Victis focuses on player freedom and realism. It combines non-target combat with territory control mechanics, alongside a deep crafting system that fuels its in-game economy. Players can choose their own path, whether through combat, exploration, or trade.

This playtest offers a clear glimpse into the game’s revival and the direction it is heading.
