Forbidden Solitaire Brings Its Dark Deck to PC on April 30

Prepare to Step Inside the World of Forbidden Solitaire

Indie developers Grey Alien Games and Night Signal Entertainment have officially announced that Forbidden Solitaire will launch on PC on April 30, 2026. The game blends psychological horror with card-based mechanics, delivering a dark and unusual experience built around a mysterious relic from the past. You can also check out the official launch trailer below to get a glimpse of the eerie world ahead.

The story takes place in 2019, where you bring home a strange 1995 CD-ROM from a thrift store and decide to finally play it. You recognize the title from old ads and faint memories of controversy, but you never experienced it yourself until now. As soon as you start, the game drags you into a disturbing digital world that feels like it should never have existed.

Inspired by retro FMV aesthetics, Forbidden Solitaire throws players into eerie dungeons. It is full of unsettling visuals and a constant sense of dread. The creators of Ancient Enemy and Home Safety Hotline developed the game’s haunting style, story, and soundtrack to keep the tension high throughout.

The gameplay centers on brutal, fast-paced solitaire mechanics designed by the team behind Shadowhand and Regency Solitaire. Players unlock upgrades and interact with a watchful presence hidden in the walls. All while discovering Jokers that can either help or harm their progress. A free demo is already live on Steam, giving players a chance to step into its twisted world early.

With its bold concept and eerie presentation, Forbidden Solitaire stands out as a unique indie horror title worth watching.
