Explore a Fallen Kingdom in Wyldheart
A new co-op fantasy RPG has just been revealed, and it is aiming to capture the charm of classic tabletop adventures in a digital format. Swedish developer Wayfinder Studios has officially unveiled Wyldheart, a rustic, co-op action RPG built by former developers from EA DICE, Embark Studios, and Mojang Studios. The game is currently in development for PC and is already available to wishlist on Steam and Epic Games Store.
Wyldheart invites players to step into a beautifully handcrafted fantasy world inspired by traditional tabletop RPGs. Designed for solo play or groups of up to four, the game focuses on cooperative storytelling, exploration, and combat using swordplay and magic. Players will journey through multiple campaign arcs, each offering around 10 hours of gameplay, while uncovering the mysteries of the fallen Kingdom of Caerwyn.
Rather than casting players as legendary heroes, Wyldheart takes a different approach. You begin as an unknown group of adventurers, shaping your own path through choices, exploration, and character progression. From investigating rumors to venturing into forgotten ruins, the game emphasizes freedom and emergent storytelling.
The project is led by industry veterans, including Dennis Brännvall, known for his work as Creative Director on Star Wars Battlefront II, and Fia Tjernberg, formerly of EA DICE. With additional support from multiplayer specialists Kirsten Schäfer and Manne Ederyd, the team aims to blend cozy tabletop elements with modern online systems.
Wyldheart is also seeking community support through Kickstarter as development continues. So, make sure to show some love and support on its official crowdfunding page.
