Developed in collaboration with Nickelodeon Animation Studios, the game is a fast-paced 1v1 fighter that takes place across the worlds of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. It focuses on fluid combat and expressive bending mechanics, giving players the chance to control fan-favorite characters while mastering the elements in dynamic battles. The experience is designed to appeal to both competitive players and newcomers, blending accessibility with deeper strategic gameplay.
Pre-orders are already live on Steam, while console players can wishlist the game now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox platforms.
This partnership brings together Gameplay Group International’s expertise in fighting game design and PM Studios’ global publishing reach. Both companies have emphasized a shared focus on responsive gameplay, competitive balance, and staying true to the spirit of the Avatar universe.
The game also features hand-drawn 2D animation that closely reflects the original series’ visual style, along with a new canon story mode. With its mix of fast action, expressive combat, and strong fan service, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is shaping up to be a notable addition to the genre.
