Survive the Underground in Subway Invasion
Publisher indie.io and developer QH Studios have confirmed that Subway Invasion will launch on Steam on April 3. The release will arrive as part of the publisher’s upcoming indie.io Franchise Sale.
Set beneath the streets of New York City, Subway Invasion puts players in the role of a subway security guard who must protect a train full of passengers during a sudden alien attack underground. Armed with a simple pistol and limited ammunition, players must defend the station and survive increasingly dangerous waves of extraterrestrial enemies moving through the tight tunnels and platforms.
The game focuses on quick reactions and careful resource management. Ammunition remains limited, forcing players to think carefully about every shot. At the same time, the station itself becomes part of the strategy. Players can lock doors to slow down attackers, guide enemies into chokepoints, and search the station for useful supplies while the pressure builds.
As players eliminate enemies, they earn points that can be spent on upgrades to improve survival chances. Attachments such as scopes, flashlights, and thermal sights enhance the pistol, while additional tools like grenades provide new ways to deal with large enemy groups when the situation becomes overwhelming.
Enemy behavior also changes as the invasion progresses. Some aliens charge directly at the player, while others attempt to damage key defensive positions around the train. These shifting threats force players to constantly adjust their strategy to protect passengers and maintain control of the station.
With detailed underground environments, wave-based combat, and strategic defense mechanics, Subway Invasion delivers a fast-paced survival experience when it launches on Steam on April 3, 2026.
