Annihilator Pre-Orders Reopen as Brandon Rodriguez Launches New Company

Join the Retro Action in Annihilator

Independent developer Brandon Rodriguez has officially launched a new company, Annihilator LLC, marking a significant step forward for his personal game projects. Alongside this announcement, the studio has opened the fourth wave of physical pre-orders for Annihilator, a dark top-down shooter designed for the Game Boy Color.

The newly formed Annihilator LLC will serve as the central hub for Rodriguez’s independent releases, separating them from his work under Salt & Pixel. The goal is to create a dedicated platform where fans can easily access and purchase his games. Looking ahead, the company already has three additional Game Boy Color titles in development, including The Damned, Night of the Flesh Eaters, and Blitz Barbarian, signaling a steady pipeline of retro-inspired projects.

As its first major move, the company has reopened pre-orders for Annihilator, giving fans another chance to secure a physical copy. This fourth wave aims not only to fulfill online demand but also to build inventory for upcoming gaming conventions, where Rodriguez plans to showcase the title in person.

Two editions are currently available. The Regular Box Edition is available for $55 (+ shipping) and includes the cartridge, a printed manual, a digital ROM, and a PDF manual. A more affordable Cartridge-Only Edition, priced at $35 (+ shipping), offers the game cartridge along with digital versions of the ROM and manual.

Pre-orders are expected to remain open until around June 2026, though delivery timelines may vary depending on ongoing U.S. trade and import conditions.
