Until Then Is Coming to Xbox Series X/S
Maximum Entertainment, in collaboration with developer Polychroma Games, has announced Afterimages, a brand-new downloadable content expansion for the award-winning narrative adventure Until Then. The DLC is launching later this year and will be accompanied by the game’s debut on Xbox Series X/S, marking its first release on the platform.
A newly released trailer offers a first glimpse at the emotional continuation of Sofia and Mark’s journeys. Afterimages adds two new chapters that delve into themes of grief, memory, and the quiet resilience required to keep moving forward after loss.
In the expansion, Sofia returns home to confront lingering memories she once tried to leave behind. At the same time, Mark finds himself navigating the complexities of meeting a new lover while reconnecting with an old friend. As their stories unfold separately, both must learn how to carry the weight of absence while embracing the possibility of change.
The DLC builds on the intimate storytelling that defines Until Then, introducing fresh interactive elements such as tarot reading and baking minigames. Expanded in-game phone features, including dating apps and video platforms, add new layers to the experience, alongside reunions with familiar faces and encounters with new characters.
Since its original release, Until Then has earned widespread praise for its heartfelt narrative, striking visuals, and authentic portrayal of adolescence and loss, currently holding a 97% “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam.
