Tomb of the Bloodletter Begins Typing on Steam Today

Welcome to the Tomb of the Bloodletter

Ethan’s Secretions, in partnership with publisher indie.io, has announced that Tomb of the Bloodletter is available today on PC via Steam. Launching as part of Steam Typing Fest, the strategic typing roguelike introduces a dark fantasy dungeon crawler where all combat is resolved entirely through typing. You can purchase the game for $7.99 USD with a limited-time 20% launch discount.

Developed by solo creator Ethan’s Secretions, Tomb of the Bloodletter challenges players to survive a cursed, ever-shifting tomb using words as weapons. Each encounter takes place at the keyboard, with Magicks binding themselves to individual letters. It also imposes strange, often dangerous rules on how words behave in combat. These interactions reward careful timing and sequencing, placing moment-to-moment decision-making above long-term build optimization.

Runs are fast and random, typically lasting around 30 minutes and ending in either victory or defeat. Players begin each run with access to their full keyboard, while newly acquired Magicks continuously reshape how letters function. This gradually transforms the keyboard into a volatile spellbook that is both powerful and perilous.

As players progress deeper into the tomb, they unlock new playable grave robbers, each dramatically altering the experience. Characters such as the risk-driven Heretic, the fading-power Scholar, the duty-bound Prophet, and the straightforward Adventurer offer distinct ways to engage with the game’s systems.

Populated by cursed beasts, deceptive specters, and unholy entities with handcrafted mechanics, Tomb of the Bloodletter delivers a tense, word-driven roguelike experience where there is no guarantee of survival. The game is available now on Steam as part of Steam Typing Fest.
