Time to Enter the Starless Abyss
No More Robots and Konafa Games have announced that Starless Abyss, their cosmic horror deckbuilder, will launch on Nintendo Switch on February 18.
In Starless Abyss, Earth has already fallen. As the Eldritch close in, Science and the Occult forge an uneasy alliance in a final attempt to resist extinction. Players step into the role of a Proxima, one of humanity’s chosen defenders, tasked with confronting the encroaching alien terror. Blending turn-based strategy with roguelike progression, the game challenges players to build powerful decks. All while navigating a bleak and hostile intergalactic battlefield.
The campaign unfolds across four distinct Acts, each growing darker, stranger, and more dangerous than the last. Along the way, players can unlock five unique Proximae, each offering their own traits, playstyles, and narrative threads. Deckbuilding lies at the heart of the experience, with eight different card factions shaping strategic possibilities and encouraging experimentation.
Players can pilot dozens of ships, provided they hold together under pressure, and turn to 20 powerful Ritual Cards in moments of desperation. With over 200 cards to discover, combine, and unleash, every run offers new synergies and unexpected outcomes.
With its unsettling atmosphere, deep strategic systems, and high replayability, Starless Abyss invites Switch players to test whether humanity’s last gamble against the Eldritch will be enough to survive the void.
