Australia Did It Demo Is Making Its Debut This Month During Steam Next Fest

Get Ready to Try Australia Did It

Indie publisher Mystic Forge, in collaboration with acclaimed game designer Rami Ismail and co-developer Aesthetician Labs, has announced that Australia Did It will make its first playable appearance at Steam Next Fest. Players will be able to try the demo from February 23 to March 2, offering an early hands-on look at the game’s distinctive blend of Tower Defense and Reverse Bullet Hell mechanics. Ahead of the demo, a brand-new trailer will premiere on February 19 during Indie Fan Fest.

Australia Did It

Australia Did It casts players as the last line of defense for a heavily guarded freight train crossing the dried-up Atlantic basin, a region transformed by a mysterious and catastrophic event. As the train moves from station to station, players must deploy mercenaries to hold off relentless enemy waves. Success depends on one thing alone: delivering the valuable cargo safely. Survival is optional.

Preparation is everything. Before the train departs each station, players strategically place a limited number of units to withstand incoming assaults, creating fast-paced tactical encounters that reward smart positioning and quick thinking. During each run, players can merge units to form more powerful or highly specialized variants. There are over 1,500 possible combinations and more than 30 unit types.

Once the train starts moving, the game shifts into high-intensity Reverse Bullet Hell action, turning players into the source of overwhelming firepower as they cut through massive enemy swarms in chaotic rail battles. Between stations, players earn reward cards that unlock unique bonuses. This allows them to adapt their strategy and build creative synergies over time.

Australia Did It is set to launch on PC via Steam in 2026. Players can wishlist the game now and join the official Discord to stay up to date on future announcements.
