Take a Deeper Look at 007 First Light
IO Interactive, the award-winning studio behind the Hitman franchise, and Amazon MGM Studios have unveiled a brand-new story trailer for 007 First Light. The game delivers an original origin story for James Bond and launches on May 27, 2026. It will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox ROG Ally X, Xbox ROG Ally, Switch 2, and PC. Players can pre-order the standard, Collector’s, or Legacy editions. All pre-orders receive a free upgrade to the Deluxe Edition, which includes 24-hour early access and exclusive in-game content.
Revealed during Sony’s PlayStation State of Play presentation, the trailer introduces a young, untested Bond as MI6 recruits him into the newly revived 00 programme. Set against a backdrop of global intrigue, the story follows Bond’s early missions in Iceland, where his nerve and sharp instincts capture MI6’s attention. However, his confidence and recklessness soon collide with the rigid discipline of the intelligence world.
Patrick Gibson portrays Bond, while Priyanga Burford plays M, who sees rare potential in the young agent. Lennie James appears as John Greenway, a former 00 operative and Bond’s strict training instructor. Greenway’s by-the-book methods clash with Bond’s improvisational style.
As rogue agent 009 resurfaces, Bond and Greenway must set aside their differences. From the Carpathian Mountains to the black market of Aleph, Bond hunts dangerous enemies, including the unpredictable Bawma, played by Lenny Kravitz, while navigating shifting loyalties and hidden agendas.
