Turnbound Is Launching on Early Access With a Slay the Spire Crossover

What a Surprising Launch for Turnbound

Independent developer 1TK Games has announced an exciting new collaboration between Turnbound, its strategic autobattler launching into Early Access, and the genre-defining deckbuilding roguelike Slay the Spire. As part of this crossover, the iconic Snecko Eye relic is making its way into Turnbound as a fully playable gameplay item rather than a simple cosmetic reference.

Arriving on January 22 alongside Turnbound’s Early Access release, the Snecko Eye will be permanently available in the game. Designed to integrate seamlessly with Turnbound’s core mechanics, the relic functions as a true strategic tool, encouraging players to embrace uncertainty, take risks, and experiment with unconventional builds. Its design remains faithful to what fans of Slay the Spire will recognize, while adapting naturally to Turnbound’s unique systems.

To mark the collaboration, players will be able to unlock a special achievement during a limited-time event running from the Early Access launch until Turnbound reaches version 1.0. By completing a battle with the Snecko Eye tile placed on their board, players earn an exclusive cosmetic profile frame. This reward is purely visual and carries no gameplay advantage, but once unlocked, it remains permanently tied to the player’s profile. While the Snecko Eye itself will stay in the game indefinitely, the achievement and cosmetic reward will only be obtainable during the collaboration window.

Celebrating the partnership further, Turnbound and Slay the Spire will be offered together in a special Steam launch bundle, featuring a 10% discount. The collaboration highlights Turnbound’s roots in strategic experimentation and its admiration for games that reward creativity, adaptability, and mastery, while reimagining familiar ideas in a fresh strategic context.
