New Features Await in Gedonia 2
The developers of Gedonia 2, the cooperative RPG currently available in Steam Early Access, have released a new content update titled “Berkmere Ravine.” Marking the game’s most ambitious expansion yet, the update introduces a sprawling high-level region, a branching faction war narrative, and major new gameplay systems designed to deepen both solo and co-op play.
At the heart of the update is Berkmere Ravine, a dangerous new zone aimed at characters between levels 22 and 24. The region is locked in a brutal conflict between the honorable Gortel family and the sinister necromantic cult known as the Bone Gatherers, led by the lich Victor Manford. Players must align with one of these factions, with their choice directly influencing the fate of the ravine through a dedicated epic questline.
Players who began their journey with the “Mysterious Stranger” origin will uncover an exclusive narrative thread in this update, offering deeper insight into their character’s background and the enigmatic companion who shadows them.
Gameplay expands further with the introduction of the Husbandry skill tree, which enables players to tame and level pets and engage in mounted combat. This system opens up new tactical options, especially during large-scale encounters. Additionally, greatswords join the arsenal as a powerful new two-handed weapon type, catering to melee-focused builds.
The update also includes new loot, crafting recipes, balance tweaks, and quality-of-life improvements shaped by community feedback. According to lead developer Oleg Kazakov, the goal was to deliver meaningful choices and deep mechanical additions, all perfectly suited for cooperative play with up to four players.
