Get Ready to Battle in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Pokémon Legends: Z-A has announced that Ranked Battle Season 5 is “coming soon”, offering a new competitive window and another Mega Stone reward. The season will run from January 8, 2026, to January 29, 2026, giving players several weeks to climb the ranks and secure exclusive items.
Players who reach Rank S will earn Sceptilite, which enables Sceptile to Mega Evolve. The season also rewards progress across multiple tiers. Rank V awards Baxcalibrite, Rank W grants Chesnaughtite, Rank X provides Delphoxite, and Rank Y unlocks Greninjite. These rewards encourage steady advancement while expanding access to Mega Evolutions for competitive teams.

Season 5 applies a fixed rule set to keep battles balanced and efficient. Players may enter Pokémon between Level 1 and Level 100, but the game automatically sets all Pokémon to Level 50 during battles. This approach places the focus on strategy, team composition, and move selection rather than raw leveling.
The eligible roster includes Lumiose Pokédex numbers 001 to 227, along with Hyperspace Pokédex entries 00 to 127 and number 132. Players may only use one Pokémon per Pokédex number on their team. Pokémon may hold items, but the rules prohibit duplicate held items across the team.
Each ranked match operates under a strict total time limit of three minutes, pushing players to make quick, deliberate decisions. With clear restrictions, valuable Mega Stone rewards, and a limited schedule, Ranked Battle Season 5 is ready to position itself as a focused and competitive phase in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
