Corvad Steps Onto Mars With Blind Descent
During the New Game + showcase, Owlcat subsidiary META Publishing and developer Pokuch announced a collaboration with electronic music producer Corvad, who will compose the soundtrack for Blind Descent, an upcoming sci-fi survival game set beneath the surface of Mars. Corvad is well-known in the EDM scene for his gritty industrial sound that blends breakbeat, techno, bass, and dark electronic elements to create intense and atmospheric music.
For Blind Descent, Corvad created an original musical identity that strengthens the game’s tone and narrative tension. He uses dense textures, mechanical rhythms, and ominous energy to reflect the danger and isolation players will face while exploring the uncharted Martian underground. The soundtrack evolves with gameplay and actively heightens suspense as players confront a mysterious infection and struggle to survive in a hostile environment.
Many players may already recognize Corvad’s work from film, television, and advertising. His track Tesla appeared in Matt Reeves’ film The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson and Paul Dano, while his track Khomus featured in the television series The Penguin, starring Colin Farrell. His music has also appeared in YSL Beauty advertising campaigns featuring Zoë Kravitz and Sho Hirano. Additional credits include the track Breakdown in the CBS series The Equalizer starring Queen Latifah, along with several contributions to the soundtrack of the video game Heretic’s Fork.
Blind Descent will launch in Early Access on PC via Steam in 2026, with console versions planned to follow alongside the full release.
