Torchlight: Infinite Unveils Revamped Gameplay and Enhanced Visuals for New Season

Some Major Changes Are Coming to Torchlight: Infinite

XD Games has unveiled new details about the upcoming Torchlight: Infinite season, SS11 Vorax, launching on 15 January 2026. The new season introduces a range of systems designed to deepen endgame customization, challenge, and rewards.

Central to SS11 Vorax is the Vorax Syndrome, which infects monsters throughout the game. Defeating these enemies rewards players with Vorax Substance, a seasonal currency used in Surgical Preparation. This system allows players to manage six Incubation Tanks, adjusting monster quantity, rarity, and activity. All while activating family-specific mechanics and Incubation Elixirs. By maximizing Ultimate Activity, players directly scale loot rewards, which are determined through battles in a dedicated arena.

For those seeking tougher encounters and better rewards, optional Netherrealm enhancers called Scalpels significantly increase difficulty without using Compass slots. These modifiers introduce more elites and Scavengers, greatly amplifying reward scaling. SS11 Vorax also adds several new progression systems, including Grafting, which uses Vorax Limbs as exclusive crafting bases with unrestricted affixes; Core Organ extraction, enabling up to two Legendary modifiers per item; and Vorax Corrosion, an endgame gambling mechanic that can push affixes to Tier 0 and Tier 0 Plus.

Alongside gameplay changes, the update introduces significant visual enhancements. Icons and UI elements have been redesigned for clarity, combat VFX enhanced for greater impact, and several hero and monster models, such as Rehan, Carino, and Gemma, have been revamped.

The season also introduces Vendetta’s Sting, a new Hero Trait for Cateye Erika, focused on high-speed, high-risk combat through rapid dashes and close-range damage. Torchlight: Infinite is available on PC, iOS, and Android, with SS11 Vorax launching at 6 pm PT on 15 January 2026.
