Rewrite Fate in The Rogue Prince of Persia
Ubisoft and Evil Empire have announced that The Rogue Prince of Persia, the acclaimed 2D action-platforming roguelite, will arrive on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on December 16, 2025. Following its successful debut on Ubisoft+, PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, the release marks a major step in the game’s multi-platform expansion.
The Switch editions have been carefully optimised for handheld and hybrid play, featuring the full content from the 1.0 version. Players can expect all available biomes, weapons, and medallions. As well as a reimagined art direction that enhances the experience on the go. The combination of fluid combat, fast-paced parkour, and a story of redemption makes the title well-suited for portable adventure.
Publisher U&I Entertainment also confirmed physical Standard and Immortal Editions of the game. It will launch for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Switch 2 on April 10, 2026. The Immortal Edition includes the full game on a physical key card, a double-sided poster, and fine art cards that feature striking visuals on one side and form part of a game world map on the other. All of this comes in a premium SteelBook case with a sleeve. Pre-orders for both physical versions begin on November 14, with pricing and availability varying by region.
Set in a reimagined Persian kingdom, the game challenges players to master agile movement, dodge traps, and adapt their combat style across procedurally generated levels. With over a hundred weapons and medallions to unlock, each run brings new strategies and discoveries. Game Director Lucie Dewagnier described the title as a perfect fit for hybrid play, praising its replayability and fast-paced design. The soundtrack, composed by Persian-American artist ASADI, is available on major streaming platforms, with a vinyl edition planned through Laced Records.
