Huntsman Has Introduced Its Last Arachnid Type, the Tarantula

Meet the Deadliest Spider of the Huntsman

Ten Image Publishing and OnTheHouse Studios have introduced the final arachnid species arriving in Huntsman, set to release on PC on 27 November at 5 pm GMT, 9 am PST, and 12 pm EST. The latest episode of Creature Features turns the spotlight on the tarantula, presenting the fourth and most aggressive spider discovered within the troubled walls of Atherton Labs. The reveal completes the roster of spider types and guides players into a tense journey through a facility shaped by dangerous experimentation.

The tarantula stands apart from every previous specimen created in Atherton Labs. It is larger and more unpredictable, shaped by a series of failed trials that left even its creators unsettled. While the huntsman, orb weave, and trapdoor types introduced earlier each bring their own challenges, the tarantula represents a new peak in hostility. Its appearance signals a turning point in the story, as the consequences of Atherton’s misguided research become unavoidable.

Throughout the escape from the Experimental BioSolutions Division, players will encounter the tarantula in several environments designed to amplify its unsettling presence. The creature prefers to hunt alone and rarely shows interest in interacting with other spiders, yet it reacts sharply to any human who strays into its domain. Its burrow and stalking areas are coated with webbing that acts as both an early warning system and a means to immobilize prey. Players must stay alert, avoid these zones and make use of distractions when possible.

With the tarantula now revealed, Huntsman enters its final stage before launch. The latest Creature Features entry completes the picture of what waits inside Atherton Labs, setting the tone for a tense and demanding experience when the game arrives on 27 November.
