Hvmana Industries MMD and indie.io have announced that Tales of Old: Dominus will launch on Steam on November 3. This dark, immersive story puts players in the shoes of Eric of Woldham, a survivor of the brutal Battle of the Brides. Returning to his village only to find it reduced to ashes and scavenged by carrion eaters, Eric sets out on a path of vengeance in an unforgiving open world.
The Battle of the Brides marked the violent end of a peasant rebellion against the feudal practice of primae nocta, which gave lords the right to claim brides on their wedding night. The uprising, supported by a small number of noble allies, was crushed, leaving few survivors. Eric survived, but Woldham did not, fueling his desire for revenge.
