HitP Studio and Eastasiasoft Limited have announced that Schildmaid MX will launch on November 26 for consoles. The game will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and the Microsoft Store for Windows. Players can enjoy the digital release on the same day, while online retailer Playasia offers pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch physical editions, which will ship alongside the digital launch.
Schildmaid MX is a side-scrolling shoot ’em up that draws inspiration from classic shmups while introducing innovative shield mechanics. The game combines retro pixel art aesthetics with modern gameplay twists, creating a bullet hell experience that challenges players to turn enemy attacks into powerful projectiles to boost their ship’s firepower. When the shield depletes, danger time forces pilots to adapt their strategies on the fly.
Players can choose from three distinct fighter spacecraft to battle an invasion fleet threatening their planet. Each mission requires skillful maneuvering and precise attacks to overcome waves of enemies, and the best pilots earn their place on online leaderboards. Schildmaid MX also supports multiple languages, including English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, and Brazilian Portuguese.
Digital copies are will be available for $19.99/€19.99, with a limited-time 10% launch discount on select platforms. Physical editions for Nintendo Switch will include a collector’s box containing the game card, a soundtrack CD, a Joy-Con sticker set, and a numbered certificate, with only 1,000 Limited Editions being produced. Standard copies are also available for pre-order.
