Focus Entertainment and New World Interactive have released a new update for Insurgency: Sandstorm titled “Operation: Shell Shock.” Now available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC through Steam, the Microsoft Store, and the Epic Games Store, this update expands the game’s arsenal, introduces a thrilling new mode, and adds fresh customization options. Players can also grab newly released premium cosmetic DLC sets through the 4-Year Anniversary Edition, the Year 4 Pass, or as standalone purchases.
The update adds two powerful new shotguns to the battlefield. They are the S12K for the Security forces and the US12 for the Insurgents. Both weapons bring intense close-quarters combat to life, giving players new ways to dominate their enemies. “Operation: Shell Shock” also debuts a Challenge system that offers Daily, Weekly, and Static goals. It will reward players with credits for completing in-game tasks and objectives.
Adding a darker twist, the limited-time mode “ChadTeam666” joins the rotation. This haunting event transforms squads into vampiric special forces, taking on waves of zombified enemies in a tense nighttime checkpoint scenario. Alongside the free content, premium additions include the Climber gear set for Security, the Vandal gear set for Insurgents, the Wheat weapon skin for Security, and the Dragon Skin weapon set for Insurgents.
