Buffalo Buffalo has announced that Birdseed VR is now offering an early preview exclusively for Quest 3 and 3s players. Alongside this early access, the developers have shared a detailed roadmap highlighting the updates and features that will roll out. Leading up to the full launch, players can look forward to unlocking new birds through Field Guides, purchasing decorative cameras at the Scout’s Store, sharing photos with friends and followers, and enjoying multiplayer birding experiences.
Birdseed VR invites players to capture the chunkiest and cutest birds using an in-game camera. It is designed to feel just like holding the real thing. Players can aim, shoot, and record their finds in a personal journal, striving to earn the coveted five-star shots. With binoculars to help zero in on subjects and multiple lenses, the game provides an authentic birder experience. The birds’ models and vocalizations are based on real-life counterparts, immersing players in a cozy forest environment enhanced by nature sounds that create a warm, enveloping atmosphere.
The game features daily quests that encourage players to check their journals for new missions. While photo tracking allows them to monitor progress and aim for higher star ratings. The spatial audio design heightens immersion, bringing each bird call to life. It also features a social multiplayer mode. This means you can play together with your friends, chat, and share photos while enjoying the tranquility of nature. Designed for comfort, the experience supports seated play, allowing players to enjoy the virtual forest from the couch without compromising the experience.
