Birdseed VR Gets Its First Major Update With New Birds, Rewards, and Features

Summer Has Arrived in Birdseed VR

Birdseed VR has just received its first major update since full release, and it brings a refreshing burst of summer content to the experience. Developer Buffalo Buffalo has rolled out a sizable patch that introduces new birds, expanded rewards, and improved comfort features for players.

The highlight of this update is the arrival of five new warm-weather and tropical birds, featured in Field Guide 6. Players can now encounter vibrant species such as the Toucan, Macaw, Hornbill, Lavender Waxbill, and Curl Crested Jay, adding more life and variety to the forest setting. These additions aim to make exploration feel more dynamic while giving players discoveries to look forward to.

The update also enhances progression through the Trail Pass system. Weekly rewards tied to collected stamps now include a selection of premium items, giving players more incentive to stay engaged and continue their journey.

For those who prefer a more relaxed playstyle, especially in seated mode, a new snap turn feature has been introduced. Using the left joystick, players can now rotate smoothly in place, making the experience more comfortable and accessible.

Alongside the new content, the update addresses several technical issues. Fixes include resolving problems with daily bird rotations and unlocking bird behaviors, helping ensure a smoother overall experience.

Birdseed VR is currently free to play on Meta Quest 3 and 3S, with a SteamVR release planned in the near future. This update marks a strong step forward, showing that the game is steadily growing into a richer and more polished experience. It feels like a small but meaningful evolution, adding charm and comfort without losing its cozy appeal.
