Video Nightz Is Available for Wishlist on Steam

Run the Store in Video Nightz

The indie video game developer Studio Kraze’s latest project, Video Nightz is available for wishlist on Steam. It’s a video game about running a video store back in 1999. The game will be coming soon on the platforms, so if you are into unique indie visual novel titles, then make sure to keep an eye out. Also, check out the official trailer below to get a glimpse of the business.

Described as a feature-length visual novel, Video Nightz blends elements of interactive fiction, store simulators, and point-and-click adventures. The focus, however, is not on managing inventory or finances. Instead, the game centers on conversations, storytelling, and the art of being a tastemaker. Each encounter offers a glimpse into late 90s subcultures, as a variety of characters walk through the doors of your shop, each with their own quirks and stories to tell.

Over twelve nights, players navigate the final months of the 20th century, reflecting a satirical yet heartfelt take on life at the turn of the millennium. The aesthetic embraces pixel art inspired by 90s television animation, paired with a soundtrack infused with hip hop beats reminiscent of the era. Together, these elements create a nostalgic yet fresh atmosphere that mirrors the game’s themes of change, culture, and community.

With an estimated runtime of two to four hours, about the length of a long movie or a short TV miniseries, Video Nightz offers a compact but immersive narrative journey. For fans of unique indie storytelling, it promises a memorable experience rooted in humor, nostalgia, and heartfelt conversations.
