MuHa Games has announced that Project Thea, its upcoming dark strategy survival RPG, will make its public debut at Gamescom. The demo will be available in the Entertainment Area, Hall 10.2, booth F031. Appointments can be booked via the event app at events.pr-outreach.com.

Those unable to attend in Cologne can still experience Project Thea ahead of release. Interested players can request an early Steam preview copy by contacting agnieszka.szostak@pr-outreach.com.

Project Thea

Set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, Project Thea challenges players to rebuild their colony, Project Ostoya, while navigating a dangerous hex-based world. Exploration yields resources, uncovers Points of Interest, and triggers narrative events that grow more challenging the farther one ventures.

Players can fully customize their hero’s heritage, class, and abilities, then recruit NPCs with distinct skills and backstories. Combat unfolds through tactical, turn-based card battles, complemented by non-combat skill challenges that use the party’s unique decks and modifiers. Colony management is key, requiring the gathering of resources, unlocking of new buildings through Sigil Transfer Lattices, and maintaining the generator with energy shards to ensure survival.

The game’s world draws heavily from Slavic mythology, reimagining creatures like the Striga, Leshy, and Poludnica, and weaving them into a setting where magic and technology intersect. Players can face these challenges solo or in two-player cooperative mode.

Project Thea is in development for PC, with additional platforms and a release date to be announced soon. A new gameplay trailer accompanies the Gamescom reveal, offering a first look at its rich storytelling and strategic depth. Check it out right below.
