Quest Master Has Revealed Its Single-Player Story Campaign

Quest Master Is Leaving Early Access Later This Year

At gamescom, Apogee Entertainment unveiled the first look at the single-player story campaign coming to Quest Master when it leaves Steam Early Access later this year. The campaign promises a handcrafted journey that adds depth to the game’s creative foundation, which includes community-built dungeons, a powerful level editor, and co-operative play.

Since its Early Access debut in May 2024, Quest Master has thrived as a community hub. Players have already created more than 5,000 unique dungeons across the game’s seven elemental themes, fueling endless replayability. The upcoming 1.0 release shifts focus to Aetheria, where players will uncover lore through a full story campaign. A bustling Castle Town filled with NPCs and new interactions serves as the hub. At the same time, a sweeping original soundtrack enriches the adventure with fresh compositions inspired by the game’s existing musical roots.

“Quest Master is two games in one,” said Jeron Moore, Game Director and Executive Producer at Apogee Entertainment. “On one hand, it’s a robust dungeon-building platform powered by community creativity and endless replayability. On the other hand, it’s a story-rich adventure filled with memorable characters, layered mysteries, and a world that grows deeper the more you explore.”

The campaign invites players to journey beneath Aetheria, facing dark forces corrupting the Great Barrier that shields the kingdom. Along the way, adventurers will ally with colorful characters, explore action-packed biomes, and uncover secrets hidden beneath the land’s surface.

Positioned as both a love letter to classic dungeon crawlers and a creative playground for builders, Quest Master blends nostalgia with modern design.

Quest Master is currently available in Early Access on Windows PC, macOS, and SteamOS via Steam for $19.99. A free demo is available now for new players eager to try it firsthand.
