Immerse Yourself in Muri: Wildwoods

Speldosa Interactive is giving players their first hands-on experience with Muri: Wildwoods, the charming follow-up to indie favorite Project Shoreline. The game will be showcased at the Indie Arena Booth during Gamescom 2025 and launch an open Steam Playtest today. This will allow players from all over the world to try out a slice of the adventure ahead of release. You can also check out the official announcement trailer below to get a glimpse of the journey.

In Muri: Wildwoods, players once again step into the tiny shoes of the Muri, a small guardian tasked with restoring an island overrun by corrupted pollution. Armed with a trusty water gun, you will wash, bring color back to the world, and slowly revive the Wildwoods. Along the way, players can solve environmental puzzles, uncover the island’s secrets, and rescue its ancient forest spirit. All while you befriend adorable creatures, clean them, and pet them before continuing the journey.

The game draws inspiration from Super Mario Sunshine and PowerWash Simulator. It combines satisfying cleaning mechanics with gentle exploration and a heartwarming narrative. Its focus on nature, discovery, and cozy play makes it an inviting experience for players looking for something relaxing yet rewarding.

The Steam Playtest will run from August 20 to September 3, 2025, featuring a 30 to 60-minute demo from one of the early areas. Interested players can request access directly on the game’s Steam page. Moreover, feedback will be gathered through a short survey to help refine the game.

Key features include restoring a corrupted world in vivid color, exploring and uncovering secrets, solving water-based puzzles, and meeting cute critters along the way. With controller support and accessibility options, Muri: Wildwoods ensures a comfy and customizable cleaning adventure for all.
