A Cozy Life Awaits In Starsand Island
Chinese developer Seed Lab has revealed that Starsand Island, its upcoming life sim, is set to launch on PC and consoles in late 2025. The developer has also unveiled new details, giving players a brief idea of the adventures and scenic journeys ahead. With an open-world setting that spans lush fields, vibrant forests, sandy beaches, and crystal-clear seas, the game invites players to explore its scenic environment through a variety of fun travel options.
From skateboards and rollerblades to scooters, cars, and even paragliders, Starsand Island lets players travel in style. Amphibious vehicles add the freedom to transition between land and sea, while many of the rides include extra seats for NPCs, pets, or real-life friends through the game’s multiplayer mode. A built-in photo feature lets players document every moment of their adventure.
Unveiled at Japan’s BitSummit expo, Seed Lab also highlighted the game’s deep customization systems. Players can personalize their vehicles with color options, decals, wheels, and interiors, creating unique looks to match their island lifestyle. Characters are equally flexible, with a range of facial features, skin tones, makeup options, and hairstyles to choose from, alongside a wardrobe packed with outfits and accessories.
Seed Lab plans to expand these features further after launch, adding more customization, social activities, and multiplayer tools to support collaborative play. With its focus on freedom, creativity, and shared experiences, Starsand Island aims to offer a vibrant and relaxing journey when it releases later this year.
