Step Into The Amazing Universe Of Ember And Blade
LINE Games has announced the upcoming release of a free playable demo for Ember and Blade, launching on Steam this Thursday, July 17. Players can jump into up to two hours of relentless action as they take on the role of Fenrix Haven, a once-human warrior reborn as an immortal demon hunter, facing off against endless waves of savage demons and unforgiving soulslike bosses.
Blending hack and slash combat with roguelite progression and horde survival pacing, Ember and Blade encourages experimentation with every run. Players will craft unique builds using randomized angelic blessings, mix swordplay with magic, and manage resources wisely across a richly detailed, hand-painted world.
The demo offers a first taste of what’s to come, featuring:
– Relentless Horde Combat: Take down waves of enemies with a mix of fast-paced melee and ranged attacks.
– Endless Build Variety: Combine different blessings and buffs to create countless tactical options.
– Full Controller Support: Enhance gameplay with smooth gamepad optimization.
Following the demo, the experience will grow during this fall’s Steam Next Fest. A vertical slice build will introduce expanded content, including new progression systems, tougher bosses, new stages, and deeper weapon mechanics. Players will also be able to take part in live community events.
Looking ahead, Ember and Blade will enter Steam Early Access in Q4 2025. And it will continue to evolve through regular updates and content additions. The full global release is planned for 2026 on Steam and Steam Deck, with console versions currently being considered.
