Dive Underwater in Ark: Aquatica
Snail Games will release ARK: Aquatica, a new DLC for the long-running survival title ARK: Survival Evolved, on July 15, exclusively on Steam for PC players. Developed by Studio Sirens, this expansion celebrates the 10th anniversary of the original game’s launch in 2015.
In ARK: Aquatica, players leave the surface behind and dive into the first fully submerged ARK. This massive underwater world offers not only deep-sea exploration but also scattered above-water islands that serve as key survival zones. The expansion introduces new mechanics that reshape how players approach exploration, combat, and resource gathering in a challenging aquatic environment.
Surviving underwater demands new tools and strategies. Players can tame 21 new aquatic creatures, from swift swimmers to fearsome predators. The DLC also adds 74 new Engrams, seven of them Tek tier, which include advanced gear, underwater propulsion vehicles, and oxygen support systems. Air pockets become vital for extended dives, while upgraded equipment opens up deeper, more dangerous regions of the map.
The new map spans a vast area filled with environmental hazards, hidden secrets, and dynamic terrain. Players must adapt quickly to survive in a world where threats come from every direction—above, below, and all around. Studio Sirens designed Aquatica to offer a fresh experience that builds on the core of ARK: Survival Evolved while pushing its boundaries in a new direction.
With its focus on underwater survival and exploration, ARK: Aquatica brings a unique twist to the familiar dino-survival formula. Players can begin their descent into the depths when the DLC launches on July 15.
