Coffee Talk Tokyo Demo Opens Its Door on Steam Today

Become a Barista in Coffee Talk Tokyo

The beloved Coffee Talk series is brewing something new. Coffee Talk Tokyo, a follow-up to Coffee Talk (2020) and Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly (2023), has just released a free demo on Steam. It offers a first look at the next chapter in the relaxing visual novel series.

Coffee Talk Tokyo places players behind the counter of a cozy new café in Japan’s capital. The game takes place in a parallel world where humans and mythical beings live side by side. As the enigmatic barista, players will listen to heartfelt stories, offer calm advice, and craft warm drinks. Along the way, you’ll meet a fresh cast of characters.

This demo marks more than just a game preview. It coincides with Chorus Worldwide’s 11th anniversary. To celebrate, the developer and publisher are hosting their largest ever sale across multiple platforms. This includes Steam, the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, and Xbox Store.

Ranked number three in Metacritic’s 2024 Game Publisher Rankings, Chorus Worldwide is developing the game with support from Toge Productions, the original creators of the series. Though technically a spin-off, the new title builds on the emotional depth and cozy atmosphere that made the earlier entries so popular.

The demo introduces players to a few of the new patrons they will meet in the full release. This includes Vin, a barista-in-training recovering from a traumatic event; Jun, a talented musician battling creative burnout; and Ayame, a former It-girl navigating the complications of life after death.

With familiar warmth in a brand new setting, Coffee Talk Tokyo invites players to sit, sip, and listen starting today.
