Citizen Sleeper Celebrates Third Anniversary With New Game, Localizations and Discounts

A Milestone for Citizen Sleeper

Citizen Sleeper has reached a major milestone, with more than two million players exploring its rich science fiction world of rebellion, survival, and choice. Since its 2022 release, the original Citizen Sleeper earned widespread acclaim for its storytelling and tabletop-inspired mechanics. Its 2024 follow-up, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, launched to equally strong praise and helped establish the series as a standout in narrative-driven indie games.

To celebrate, developer Jump Over The Age released Spindlejack, a free two-page solo tabletop roleplaying game. Inspired by the same dice mechanics found in the digital series, Spindlejack puts players as a courier navigating the space station Far Spindle. Players build their reputation, earn Cryo, and try to survive the station’s challenges while shaping their own story.

The studio also announced that Citizen Sleeper 2 will add support for French, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese later this year. This update will make the game more accessible and allow even more players around the world to experience its branching narrative.

Publisher Fellow Traveller has joined the celebration by offering a 70% discount on the first game and a 20% discount on the sequel. The promotion is available on Steam until May 15, giving new players a chance to step into the world and returning fans a reason to revisit it.

With continued support and new ways to engage, the series shows no signs of slowing down as it expands its universe and community.
