Warside Unveils Roadmap to Major 2.0 Update With Co-op Campaign

Check Out What’s Coming to Warside

LAVABIRD and First Break Labs have revealed a detailed roadmap for Warside, their fast-paced turn-based tactics battler, leading up to the much-anticipated Version 2.0. The final update will introduce a full co-op campaign alongside fresh single-player content.

The journey to V2.0 begins with Version 1.1, arriving at the end of this week. This first update brings skirmish missions, custom player-made maps, a commander dossier, and important localization fixes. Following that, Version 1.2 will rebalance the “Brutal” campaign difficulty, introduce a map rating system, and improve enemy AI. Version 1.3 is going to expand the multiplayer experience with Fog of War, Steam Achievements, custom map servers, and UI enhancements. Each update is expected to roll out every two weeks.

Warside blends classic wargame visuals with modern tactical depth. Players command one of fourteen distinct leaders, each with unique passive abilities and powerful Battle Powers, across a 30-plus mission single-player campaign. Battles span land, sea, and air, with over thirty unit types including tanks, artillery, submarines, and aircraft.

Environments vary from frozen tundras and deserts to toxic wastelands and hidden laboratories. Whether fighting solo in skirmish mode, teaming up in local or online co-op, or facing off in PvP battles, Warside offers a rich array of strategic options. With its in-game mission editor, players can also design and share custom maps, ensuring a steady stream of new tactical challenges.

Version 2.0 promises to be a significant leap forward, expanding both content and community engagement.
