The solo indie developer Re: cOg Mission and publisher Freedom Games has announced the full release date for World Turtles. Yes, this unique city builder, colony sim title is coming out of Steam Early Access on 15 April 2024 for a standard price of $19.99. The game takes place in a world filled with conflict and strife. The turtles serve as the only beacon of hope and carry the weight of entire civilizations on their majestic back. All the while traveling on a vast expansion of space.
A group of peace-loving tribes named Meeps has selected you to save their turtle. Your goal is to help them Meeps to survive and create a sustainable society. As well as taking care of the great World Turtle to ensure that it doesn’t pass away along its journey. The main focus is more on cooperation than conquest, in that sense, it is a wholesome colony simulator with the primary goal of sustainability.
The Meeps are also hard-working and enthusiastic, though they can be quite unorganized without a leader. That is the role you need to fill in for them. Help them develop from a small village to a sprawling colony that has mastered the art of living and surviving on spacefaring reptiles. However, dangers are lurking in every sector as it can impact the life of the turtleback. There will be climate changes, rise in water levels, or even natural and unnatural disasters.
