Try to Survive This
It’s dangerous out there. A world like no other awaits. You awaken here with no idea what lurks here. So, might as well learn some of the different things that can make you dead. Today, Game Island and Toplitz Productions are happy to unveil a new trailer for their upcoming first-person survival game, Serum. The trailer, titled “Five Things That Can Kill You”, does an excellent job of explaining exactly what it’s title suggests. The trailer invites players to take a closer look at the world of Serum and the horrors that dwell there.Â
Serum invites players to a haunting world that suffers destruction at the hands of the titular chemical. Awakening with a timer fused into their arm, players will need to learn how to survive this world. Of course, this is easier said than done. As the trailer suggests, there are a lot of ways to die here. For instance, players can be torn to shreds by mutated beasts, die to explosive plants, choke to death on toxic clouds, run out of the Serum keeping them alive, or die to a boss. Overall, there are a lot of ways to die. Yet, it’s the player’s objective to survive. Importantly, this means players will need to make shelter, search for new tech, upgrade their equipment, and craft new stuff.

Serum is set to release in Q2 of 2024 However, the game is now available to wish list on Steam. A demo of the game is also available.
