Inviting players to an open-world turn-based RPG, the game aims to provide players with a truly free roleplaying experience. Unforetold: Witchstone introduces players to the land of Kalsundia. Following a great war between two great empires, Kalsundia is a land of opportunity and freedom. In fact, there is a lot of freedom. The game allows players to develop their very own character with a great deal of customization and depth. Importantly, players design their own focus for their character ranging from goals in life to combat capabilities. Interestingly, the character design process fits directly into the living breathing world of Kalsundia. For instance, the NPCs of the game all exist as real characters beyond the view of the player character. They have personalities, property, opinions, families, lives, beyond the player. Of course, this fact lends more weight to the fact that every choice players make has an impact on the world around them. So, it really depends on the player for them to decide who they become. Yet, they need to survive the intense turn-based combat to become anything at all.Â
