Ripout Tears Into First Content Update

Mow Down Mutants

Mutant mayhem is about to get even more intense. More monstrosities lurk in the darkness of the ship. Luckily, there are new weapons for those brave souls who try to kill them all. Today, 3D Realms and Pet Project Games are happy to announce the release of the first update for their co-op horror game, Ripout. The update, titled “The Payload Update”, introduces a host of new content to the game including a new mission type and weapons. Of course, a new trailer for the update gives players a chance to see what awaits them with the arrival of payload.

Ripout

Ripout is introducing players to a horrifying experience in the 22nd century. Awakening on a ruined and derelict battleship, players must battle through hordes of mutated monsters. However, they aren’t alone. Players will also have their trusty pet gun. Importantly, the game introduces a dangerous mechanic to the gameplay loop, the idea that mutants can upgrade themselves. This mechanic comes into play in the game’s newest update.

Ripout’s Payload Update brings a load of new content to the game. Importantly, mutants can now equip the Geist, a powerful mutation that allows them to use invisibility. However, players are also getting some new toys. For instance, players can look forward to mowing these mutated monsters down with the new machine pistol. Of course, players can get a look at the payload missions themselves in the new trailer for the update. Check out the trailer below.

Ripout is available on PC via Steam Early Access. More information is available on the game’s website.
