Gear Up for Exoborne
Developer Sharkmob and publisher Level Infinite have revealed their upcoming title Exoborne during The Game Awards. It is a tactical open-world extraction shooter which is currently under development for PC and consoles. The game puts its players in the middle of an apocalyptic world ripped apart by forces of nature.
“Exoborne is not just a game to us, it’s so much more than that!,” says Petter Mannerfelt, Creative Director at Sharkmob. “This is a long time in the making. We are excited to finally reveal it to the world and hear what people think about both the universe and the thrilling, action-packed playground we have created.”
“Since the founding of the studio we have had the ambition to create our own original game concepts and we are now one step closer to releasing the first of two currently in development,” adds Fredrik Rundqvist, CEO of Sharkmob.
The game takes place after a global collapse due to the failure of Project Rebirth. As a result, the world turned into a hostile place. You will step inside the shoes of a Reborn. They are extraordinary survivors with an implant enabling them to use Exo-Rigs. You will explore a dynamic world filled with different factions and other hostile players. Scavenge, craft, and fight for your survival.
Along the way, you will face unpredictable and thrilling situations. This includes tornadoes, lightning strikes, storms, and more, which will throw you and your enemies into disarray.
Use your powerful technology to go toe-toe with all the enemies. Customize your Exo-rigs, gears, weapons, and mods to have a better advantage on the battlefield. Keep in mind that, it is not an easy task to acquire such powerful gears. Set out alone or invite your comrades to go on missions together. The choice is all yours.
