Death to Ghosts
Killing spirits is hard work but someone has to do it. Especially when those spirits are malevolent. Yet, what happens when a close friend, a partner, becomes a spirit themselves. It’s almost time to find out. The Game Awards showed off Focus Entertainment and DON’T NOD’s upcoming RPG, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, in a new trailer. The new trailer, titled “Death to the Dead”, provides players with insights into the lives of the two protagonists of the game. Additionally, the trailer gives slight insights into the romantic relationship between the two main characters while they recite their Banisher oath.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden allows players to step into the titular role. Stepping into the shoes of Antea Duarte and Red Mac Raith, players aim to hunt down the malevolent dead and bring them peace. However, on a mission to New Eden Antea is killed in an attack hunting spirits. Now, as a spirit herself, Red is dealing with his duty as a Banisher and his love. Importantly, the game allows players to play as both Antea and Red. Red arrives to the job with an arsenal of weaponry and Antea, in her new spirit form, brings magical abilities. Together, the pair must find a way to bring Antea back, or honor their oath and put her to rest.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is releasing on February 13, 2024 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Currently, the game is available for pre-order.
