Avatar Gets You Ready to Explore an Alien World – Here Are the System Specs
Ubisoft has pulled back the curtain on the official PC requirements for its highly anticipated game, “Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.” This first-person action game is set on an alien world overrun by humanity, offering an immersive cinematic experience. The good news is that, for a 1080p gaming adventure at 30 frames per second (fps), the system requirements are quite manageable.
For those aiming to venture into the alien realm with a Nvidia GTX 1070 or an AMD RX 5700 graphics card, each equipped with 8GB of VRAM, you’ll meet the minimum requirements. Ideally, though, you’ll want to enhance your experience by playing at 1440p and 60fps using high presets, achievable with a 16GB AMD RX 6800 XT or a 10GB Nvidia RTX 3080 GPU.
However, if you aspire to bask in all the 4K glory, set at a smooth 60fps, you’ll need to beef up your PC. Ubisoft recommends a robust 24GB AMD RX 7900 XTX or a 16GB Nvidia RTX 4080 to maximize the graphics on the ultra presets. An essential requirement for all settings, whether minimum or ultra, is a solid-state drive with at least 90GB of storage capacity. As the industry trends toward making SSDs mandatory, the prices for these faster drives have significantly decreased, with 1TB NVMe SSDs now available for as little as $65.
The game promises several exciting PC features, including ray-traced reflections and shadows, extended graphical settings that allow you to fine-tune the experience, and support for AMD’s FSR 2 technology.
