An awesome title popped out on Indie Sunday yesterday and we are excited to share it with everyone. Big Byz Wars is a sci-fi 2.5D side-scroller run-and-gun game developed by Tommy Gun Walrus.

It takes inspiration from old-school titles like Contra and Doom Troopers. But placed in a world of Victor Pelevin’s novels like S.N.U.F.F., Transhumanism Inc., and Journey to Elevsin, etc. The game is available for PC via Steam for a price of $12.99 USD.

Big Byz Wars takes place in a dystopian future where humanity has sought refuge in massive flying cities. It soars high above the chaos of the world below. In this alternate future, a secretive organization of mercenaries has emerged, commanding influence and shaping the destiny of nations.

Players take on the role of a skilled mercenary in this captivating universe, tasked with defending the largest flying city, Byzantium, from its enemies. As they navigate the labyrinthine streets of the city-state and engage in heart-pounding battles against rival factions, players will unravel the mysteries of this cyberpunk metropolis and discover the truth behind the flying cities’ origins.

Additionally, your decisions and dialogue choices throughout the game have real consequences, leading to 30 different game endings. The game is also visually stunning designed with Unreal Engine 5 and features an electrifying synth-wave soundtrack.
